We currently participate with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Guardian, Cigna, and United Concordia dental insurance plans. It's important to verify that your insurance carrier participates with our office, because each insurance plan is different, and HMO and state-funded plans usually don't participate with us. Self-funded and employer plans that are PPO or DPPO are usually participating. Our office staff can help you navigate this process.
Of course. Most insurance plans will pay "out of network/non-participating" benefits. Medicaid/Fidelis, and Independent Health dental insurance usually will not pay any out of network benefits.
Many dental patients have difficulty affording dental care and avoid preventative procedures due to lack of insurance. Regular cleanings, exams, and cavity detecting x-rays let us find dental problems when they are manageable and small, making dental work less expensive in the long run.
Wheatfield Family Dentistry is excited to offer our uninsured patients the opportunity to sign up for a "no insurance, no problem" dental health plan. This plan will allow participating patients:
- 2 regular prophylaxis (dental cleaning)
- 2 periodic exams
- 15% off our regular fees for any other dental work that is needed. There is no limit on savings you are eligible for in a plan year.
There are exceptions: orthodontic work including Invisalign, retainers, traditional braces and repairs are not included. It does not include already discounted procedures and specials that we advertise (summer sealant specials, bleaching specials, dental health month discounts etc.)
Cost per year:
$269 per family member (15 and older)
$199 per family member (14 and under)
We sincerely hope this will make your dental care at Wheatfield Family Dentistry more affordable. Please contact our front desk for more information
No. We don't participate with Medicaid/Fidelis and unfortunately they don't pay any out of network benefits.

***Our office accepts Care Credit Cards. If you're not familiar with Care Credit, please read the information below gathered directly from their website.
CareCredit is different from a regular credit card.
Use it to pay for out-of-pocket expenses not covered by medical insurance, and special financing options are available that you may not be able to get with other cards.
Pay for health, and wellness care at over 250,000 enrolled providers across the nation. Once you've applied, you can use it again and again at any location that accepts CareCredit.
With shorter term financing options of 6, 12, 18 or 24 months no interest is charged on purchases of $200 or more when you make the minimum monthly payments and pay the full amount due by the end of the promotional period. If you do not, interest is charged from the original purchase date.*
*Subject to credit approval.
CareCredit also extends longer term healthcare financing for 24, 36, 48 or 60-month periods with Reduced APR and Fixed Monthly Payments Required Until Paid in Full. Purchases of $1,000 or more may be eligible for a 24 months offer with a 14.90% APR, a 36 months offer with a 15.90% APR or a 48 months offer with a 16.90% APR.
